Roaring River Falls Trail Details

The Roaring River Falls Trail offers a short, shady, relatively accessible walk to the powerful Roaring River Falls, which cascades through a granite chute. Just off Generals Highway in the Cedar Grove Area of Kings Canyon National Park, the trail is a paved, .3-mile round-trip hike. You'll travel south along the trail from a pullout along Generals Highway and, after only 1/8-mile, hit a junction: stay to the right for the Roaring River Falls Trail. The short but powerful falls drops about 20 feet into a roiling pool before joining the Kings River; you'll get a better view of the falls' second tier on the right side of the overlook.
