Zumwalt Meadow Trail Details
One of the most scenic spots on the Kings Canyon valley floor, Zumwalt Meadow is accessible via a 1.5-mile, one-way trail that passes high granite walls and crosses lush meadows and the Kings River. Beginning at the parking lot, where there's a nice view of the Kings River, you'll follow the trail along the riverside to a suspension footbridge. After crossing, you'll turn left and continue through the woods for a little while before reaching the Zumwalt Meadow loop. Descend into the meadow and finish up the hike on a boardwalk that offers particularly gorgeous views of the meadow and cliffs. Parking for the trailhead is 4.5 miles east of Cedar Grove Village Road.
