This self-guided nature tour loop is not a wilderness experience, but you'll get great views of Swiftcurrent Lake as you walk along the lakeshore. In fact, all the views are beautiful and include Many Glacier Hotel, which you'll walk past. While it's a reminder you aren't deep in the backcountry, the historic hotel is situated in a picturesque spot and adds to the charm of this easy walk. In addition to views of massive peaks, you might also spot big horn sheep or grizzly bears, and the sun setting behind the mountains and the lake is beautiful. Remember, Glacier is grizzly country. Carry bear spray, make noise and travel in groups. The trailhead is at the Swiftcurrent Picnic Area.
