Many Glacier Hotel Details
Set on the shores of Swiftcurrent Lake in the northeast corner of Glacier National Park, Many Glacier Hotel is the largest lodging property in the park and one of its most iconic. Built by the Great Northern Railway in 1914 to 1915, the grand Swiss inspired lodge rises five stories above the water, with a towering lobby and dramatic views of surrounding peaks often called the Switzerland of North America. The 2026 season runs from June 5 through September 21. The hotel features 2 suites, 7 family rooms, and more than 200 guest rooms in lakeside, deluxe, standard, and value categories. Rooms are rustic yet comfortable, reflecting the era in which the hotel was built, with modest amenities and historic character. There are no televisions or air conditioning. All rooms have private bathrooms, telephones, and a selection of king, queen, double, or twin beds. A limited number of accessible rooms are available based on availability. Guest rooms and facilities are non smoking, and only service animals are permitted. On site amenities include the lakeside Ptarmigan Dining Room, the Swiss Lounge, Heidi Snack Shop and Espresso Stand, and a gift shop featuring Glacier themed keepsakes. Red Bus tours, boat cruises, horseback rides, ranger programs, and other activities depart from the hotel, making it a spectacular lakeside base for exploring the Many Glacier region. WiFi is available as a limited hotspot. Operating dates, rates, and services are subject to change.
