Hidden Meadow Trail Details

When you think of Glacier National Park, you probably think of massive mountains. You won't find those on the Hidden Meadow Trail, but nor will you find the crowds that flock to the more popular areas in the park. Hidden Meadow is a short and sweet hike through a forest into an open meadow. You'll also pass a pond where you can observe waterfowl. The changes in elevation are gradual, making this is a great hike for families with kids. The meadow isn't the only thing hidden. Some people struggle to find the trailhead, which is marked by a single sign on the dirt Inner North Fork Road. Drive slowly, and keep your eyes open to spot the trailhead. And depending on when you go, don't forget bug spray. The area can have mosquitos. Remember, Glacier is grizzly country. Carry bear spray, make noise and travel in groups. The trailhead is about three miles south of the Polebridge Entrance Station.
