This four hour guided tour departs from Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel and travels toward the Tower Roosevelt area, with the option of continuing toward the near side of Lamar Valley depending on recent animal activity. Your driver guide stays in close communication with others in the field to track where wildlife has been seen, though nature always has the final say. Bison, elk, pronghorn, bears, and even wolves are possible, and the shifting light of late afternoon adds a beautiful backdrop to the search. Tours travel by Ford Transit or minibus, depending on availability. For the 2026 season, departures run May 16 to October 10 with check in times adjusted through the season. From May 16 to July 31, check in is at 4:15 pm with return at 8:30 pm. From August 1 to 31, check in is at 3:45 pm with return at 8:00 pm. From September 1 to 14, check in is at 3:30 pm with return at 7:45 pm. From September 15 to October 10, check in is at 3:15 pm with return at 7:30 pm. Adult rate is 99.99 dollars and child rate for ages 3 to 11 is 49.99 dollars, with children under 3 free. Taxes and fees are included. Gratuities are appreciated but not included.
