Wilder Ranch State Park Details
Nature lovers and history buffs alike will enjoy spending the day at this state park. Once a former dairy ranch, this 7,000-acre park still contains a historic Victorian home built in the late 1800s, a farmhouse from 1859, and a water-powered machine shop from 1896. There are even a couple of barnyard animals still being raised here today. However, the more impressive part about the farm is the scenery. It is perched atop a coastal bluff on the Santa Cruz coastline offering panoramic views of the ocean. After a visit to the farm, you can go hiking down to the beach, through the groves of redwoods, or along the bluffs overlooking the water.
