This idyllic swimming hole is located in the middle of Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. Surrounded by soaring moss-covered cliffs and lush foliage, this river really does live up to its name. You can wade in the shallow waters, sunbathe on the rocks, or bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the endless hours of sunshine. From the parking lot of the park, it is just a short 15-20 minute hike to reach the river. It is best to come early as the parking lot tends to get full in the late afternoon with swimmers and hikers.
