Santa Cruz Mission State Historic Park Details
This park is home to the last remaining building from the 12th California Mission (Mision la Exaltacion de la Santa Cruz) that was founded in 1791. The adobe building was used to house the first Amah Mutsun people as well as the Ohlone and Yokut indigenous tribes. At the time, the mission had over 30 different buildings, although this single-story home is the only structure that remains. It has been beautifully restored to its original appearance and now functions as a museum showcasing how the native tribes lived before Spanish settlers.
