Jordan Cliffs Trail Details

This trail is a rugged, exhilarating ascent over steep ledges and through boulder crevasses that rivals the Beehive Trail in both difficulty and beauty. While not steep, the trail is technically challenging, and requires sure footing and patience while weaving around the iron rungs, railings, and bridges scattered along the way. The summit of Sargent Mountain collects rainwater after heavy precipitation and can be great place for cool wading after making the ascent. Like many of Acadia's cliff faces, however, the trail may be closed due to the peregrine falcon nesting season.
