Taylor Creek Trail Details
The most popular Kolob Canyons trail, this trail leads to the unique rock formations known as the "finger canyon," a narrow sandstone slot canyon. The trail follows Taylor Creek, occasionally crossing the water as it winds through groves of pines and juniper. Passing the Larsen and Fire cabins, both built in the 1930s, there are good views of Paria and Tucupit Points, as well Horse Ranch Mountain, the tallest in Zion National Park. The trail then enters the long pink and orange canyon, where it passes the geological phenomenon called Pico Rosado, a tall, freestanding arch hovering above the creek that marks the trail's terminus.
