La Verkin Creek Trail Details
Connecting the Kolob Canyons of Zion National Park, this long trail descends through the valley of La Verkin Creek, a lush, shady oasis that is nearly 1,000 below the trailhead. It follows the creek to intersections with Hop Valley and Kolob Arch Trails, the canyon narrowing until the trails passes the Beartrap Canyon and the nearby Beartrap Canyon Falls. This is the most common terminus for hikers, although the trail does continue through a pine forest to the wide valley on the park's boundary. The trail is both a day hike to Kolob Arch, or a two-day hike to Beartrap Canyon.
