East Mesa Trail Details

Located in a more remote corner of Zion National Park, this pretty trail provides an excellent alternative to the well-known Observation Point Trail, which it eventually joins before reaching Observation Point. The trail, which follows an old road, winds though low desert shrubbery and prickly pear cactus as it nears the head of Mystery Canyon, a popular climbing area, and gently descends to the intersection with Observation Point Trail. There are decent views of the surrounding cliffs during this descent, but the real attraction is the Point itself, which offers fantastic sights deep into Zion Canyon.
