Laurel Falls Details

By far the most popular waterfall destinations in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, these easily accessible falls are often crowded on weekends year round and during the busy summer season. The 75-foot falls drop in multiple cascades over a worn stone cliff before crashing into a pretty plunge pool at the base. The access trail is a paved, well maintained, and fairly easy path that is lined with gorgeous mountain laurel, the falls' namesake evergreen shrub. Trailhead: From Sugarlands Visitor Center, turn toward Cades Cove on Little River Road and drive 3.5 miles to the trailhead where there are parking areas on both sides of the road.
