Banff Park Museum Details

On the outskirts of downtown Banff is the Banff Park Museum, housed in a log building built in 1903. The building itself reflects the architecture found among the early federal park buildings, and it is the oldest museum of natural history in western Canada. Inside, historical collections reflect the flora and fauna of Banff National Park, including an extensive taxidermy exhibit of animals found throughout the park. The Banff Park Museum is designated a Heritage Site of Canada.
