Nabesna Glacier Details

The Nabesna Glacier is North America's longest interior valley glacier. The 53 mile long glacier is fed by about 40 tributary glaciers and in turn feeds the Nabesna River with its glacial melt. The glacier received its name from the Nabesna River and spans the northern flanks of Mount Wrangell. Bush planes can land on the glacier at an elevation of about 6,500 feet giving access to ski-mountaineers interested in an expedition.
