Persimmon Gap Details
Persimmon Gap occupies the northernmost part of the park and its visitor center is one of the most visited due to its location. It is open from November - April. Persimmon Gap is also home to the Dagger Flat Auto Trail which is one of the most popular improved dirt roads in the park; giving you the feeling of hiking through the desert without ever having to leave your car. A couple great hikes and a lot of desert scenery make Persimmon Gap a great place to explore. Also, be sure to check out the newly improved Fossil Bone Exhibit.
