Persimmon Gap Visitor Center Details
The Persimmon Gap Visitor Center is open seasonally from November - April, with hours from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. with a brief, daily lunch-break closure. This visitor center is located at the north entrance to the park and is a great place to gather all the information you could need to start off your Big Bend experience. The rangers can help you decide which activities would best suit you and give you plenty of information on them as well as maps. As with all visitor centers, $12 backcountry and river permits can be purchased here, and you can also pay your entrance fee here. You will also find exhibits, a 3D map of the park, bookstore, mini-theatre, restrooms and drinking water.
