Quicksand Cove Details
On the western side of Aialik Bay, and just south of Holgate Arm, Quicksand Cove offers several great campsites. A stream divides the cove into north and south areas; the south side has a food-storage locker and food-hanging cable, whereas the north does not. Find campsites on both sections, tucked in the forest. If these sites are taken, or seasonally closed due to nesting birds, the gravel beach on the southeast part of the cove is suitable for camping. Beware of hazardous surf when landing on these beaches. If you're up for an adventure, follow the creek back for a mile to find a waterfall in the forest.
