Juniper Lake Campground Details

Located on the eastern shore of Juniper Lake, the Juniper Lake Campground is open from early July to mid-October, weather permitting. There are 18 campsites, priced at $12 per site on a first-come, first-serve basis. Pit toilets are available, but be forewarned that there is no potable water, so be sure to bring your own. The closest amenities can be found in Chester. Getting to Juniper Lake Campground is not the easiest of tasks: a 4-wheel-drive car and/or a lot of confidence in you car and driving ability are needed to get here. From Chester, take Highway 36 east and look for signs to Juniper Lake. At the Fire Station, turn onto Feather River Drive. Bear right about a half mile after turning, and continue to follow the signs to the campground. The last 6 miles is rough dirt road.
