White Oak Trail Details

Starting at the White Oak Trailhead in the park's northeast corner, this multi-use trail leads 2.5 miles (one way) to the Green River. This trail is open to hikers, bicyclists, and horseback riders. At its terminus, you'll find the White Oak backcountry campsite, surrounded by large white oak trees. Across the river is the Dennison Ferry Day Use Area; however, there is no ferry here. Along the trail is an old homesite with a foundation and stone chimney still intact. The trail is mostly flat, with a short descent to the campsite and river. Remember, horses have the right of way and must stay on trails. Bicyclists and hikers must yield to horses, and hikers must yield to bicyclists.
