Violet City Lantern Tour Details
This three-hour tour explores the cave system with only lanterns to light the way, giving the whole tour an old-time feel while setting the stage for stories about early visitors. The route will cover some of the cave's oldest visited passageways and caverns connected by steep hills and uneven terrain. This is a strenuous tour due to its steep hills, lack of handrails, and low light conditions. The tour covers three miles within the cave, including 160 stairs. The tour costs $18 for adults, $13 for youth, and $9 for Special Access. All tours depart from the park visitor center.
