Tower Fall Trail Details

Named for the "towers" of stone left from ancient volcanic peaks, this well-loved fall falls over 130 feet into the Yellowstone River. There is an easily accessible viewpoint from the top of the fall, is surrounded by pretty, tall evergreens, but does not particularly provide the best views. Much more dramatic views are available from the base of the falls, which is accessible via a steep trail near the upper viewpoint. Unfortunately, this rough trail is often closed due to rock slides. The falls are best seen in the spring when the falls are wider, and produces a steady cloud of mist.
