Bannock Ford Details

Bannock Ford is a site along the Yellowstone River that was used by the Bannock Indians as they moved through the area. It is the only practicable location to ford the river for many miles in either direction. At this point, the river is approximately 200 yards wide and swimming depth for horses. The location is just east of Tower Fall; there's a small island in the water channel.
