North Boundary Details
The northern boundary of Yellowstone National Park is defined by the junction of the Gardiner and Yellowstone rivers, near the town of Gardiner and the North Entrance of the park. This line on the map isn't respected by park wildlife, however, and animals such as bison can be shot if they wander outside the official park borders.
