North Entrance
Gardiner, Montana is the only year-round entrance to Yellowstone. Founded in 1880, the town retains much of its frontier character: elk regularly roam through town, and the sound of howling wolves is not uncommon at night. But you'll also find motels, restaurants, campgrounds, shops, galleries, and even a small airport here.
