Mule Deer Details
Mule deer, or blacktailed deer, are often spotted throughout the park, especially around park highways and in meadows and forest during mornings and late afternoons. Named for their large, floppy ears, these animals can be a lot of fun to watch grazing and running around! Drivers should be especially alert, as mule deer often cross park roads and wander around the edges or highways.
