Subaru's National Parks Zero-Landfill Initiative launches with pilot programs in three of the nation's crown jewels: Yosemite, Grand Teton, and Denali. In each, environmental experts from Subaru - along with representatives from the National Park Service, the National Parks Conservation Association, waste management and recycling services, and parks concessionaires - are auditing the current practices and waste streams to identify what the garbage is and where it comes from, and developing a comprehensive program to address it, which can then serve as a model for future efforts within our national park system. It's a historical endeavor and one we hope all the park's "owners" will be a part of.
