Morning with the Wild Things Details

If you want your best chance at spotting Yellowstone’s iconic wildlife, set your alarm. Dawn is prime time on the Northern Range, and this guided tour heads out early from Canyon Lodge toward Lamar Valley, where wide open hillsides make it easier to scan for movement. Your driver guide keeps close tabs on recent sightings and shares insight into the behavior and habitat of the parks megafauna. Bison, elk, pronghorn, bears, and even wolves are possible, though sightings are never guaranteed. The focus is on finding animals in their natural setting as the landscape wakes up for the day. Muffins and juice are provided onboard, and tours travel by Ford Transit or minibus, depending on availability.
