Your destination is the site of Uncle John Yancey’s Hotel, which welcomed guests from 1884 to 1906. The original foundation stones can still be seen, and here you will gather around a campfire to enjoy coffee, tea, juice, and a morning snack while your guide shares stories of this remote outpost and the early exploration of the region. The return ride offers a relaxed journey through open valley scenery, with commentary on local wildlife, plants, and the natural history of Yellowstone’s northern range. Tours operate June 6 through September 7, 2026, with check in at 9:00 am and return around 11:00 am. Adult rate is 68.41 dollars and child rate for ages 3 to 11 is 42.10 dollars, with children under 3 free. Taxes and fees are included.
