Medical Facilities Details
Emergency medical services are provided by rangers on duty. Call 911 in case of an emergency. Medcor operates three urgent-care services within the park. The clinic at Mammoth is open year-round, staffed by a board-certified physician and a team of experienced RNs. The clinics at Lake and Old Faithful are open seasonally (see below for dates). All of these clinics are open to the public and are staffed and equipped for most medical emergencies as well as for routine care. Services include injury and illness treatment, x-rays, and some lab and pharmacy services. If in-patient care or advanced services are required, the clinic staff can stabilize patients and arrange for appropriate transfer to a hospital outside the park. Lake Clinic (307) 242-7241: May 20–Sept. 21 Open 8:30 am to 8:30 pm from May 20th through September 14th Open 10 am to 6:30 pm from September 15th through September 21st -Staffed with one Physician Assistant and two nurses -No appointments required or taken; available for drug screens -After hours call out for emergencies through 911, as determined by Rangers -X-ray and limited lab capabilities Mammoth Clinic (307) 344-7965: Year-round except for some holidays. Open 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday through Thursday and 8:30 to 1pm on Fridays From June 1st to September 30th: Open 8:30 am to 5 pm 7 days per week. -No after hours call out. -MD on duty all day Monday through Thurs and Friday mornings -Physician Assistant on duty Friday afternoons and weekends. -Appointments requested/required unless an emergency condition or new work injury. -X-ray and limited lab capabilities Old Faithful Clinic: (307) 344-7325 May 13–Oct. 3 Open 7:00 am to 7:00 pm from May 13th through September 14th Open 8:30 to 5 pm from September 15th through October 3rd -Staffed with one Physician Assistant and two nurses -No appointments required or taken; -Available for drug screens -After hours call out for emergencies through 911, as determined by Rangers -X-ray and limited lab capabilities
