Named for the extremely noisy, roaring stream that is released when this geyser erupts, Lion Geyser is one of the many locating in the Upper Geyser Basin in the Geyser Hill area. Boardwalks allow visitors to see this cone-type geyser fairly close-up, as it erupts 90 feet into the air for periods lasting up to 7 minutes.
