This 4-foot tall cone in Upper Geyser Basin has a startling resemblance to a beehive. It erupts about every 12 hours, and eruptions measure 200 feet tall for about 5 full minutes during the summer. Winter eruptions are less predictable, and often erratic. The massive white plume of water and steam that the geyser gives off can be see from quite a distance, making it an impressive geyser to visit.
