Fountain Freight Road Details
This abandoned roadbed is open to both hikers and cyclists, and travels through pine groves and sagebrush meadows. Originally called National Park Avenue, this now-paved road was one of the first park roads, and experiences virtually no elevation gain. The 5.5 mile trail passes Goose Lake, Midway Geyser Basin, and the beautiful Grand Prismatic Spring.
