Another commonly sighted animal, these large animals are some of the most fun to watch as they gracefully cross the meadows and marshes of the park. Elk can be found throughout the park, but large herds are seen on a regular basis around Mammoth Hot Springs, the north slopes of Mount Washburn, and the Lamar and Hayden Valleys.
