If you want the classic Yellowstone experience in a single day, the Circle of Fire delivers. Following the parks lower loop, where most of Yellowstone’s iconic features are found, this full day guided tour covers the highlights with expert narration along the way. It is one of the parks longest running and signature tours, offered for decades. Your driver guide leads you to Old Faithful Geyser, Yellowstone Lake, Hayden Valley with wildlife viewing as conditions allow, the Upper and Lower Falls of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and the Fountain Paint Pot Nature Trail, where you can see all four types of thermal features in one place. It is a comprehensive introduction to geysers, waterfalls, wildlife, and wide open landscapes. Tours operate by Ford Transit or minibus, depending on availability. The Circle of Fire and Cruising the Caldera follow the same route but depart from different hotels. Departure options and 2026 season dates are as follows. From Old Faithful Inn, tours run May 16 to October 18 with check in at 8:15 am and return around 4:30 pm. From Grant Village, tours operate May 30 to October 10 with check in at 9:15 am and return around 6:30 pm. From Old Faithful Snow Lodge, tours run October 19 to 24 with check in at 8:15 am and return around 4:30 pm. Adult rate is 130.49 dollars and child rate for ages 3 to 11 is 65.24 dollars, with children under 3 free. Taxes and fees are included. Lunch is not included. Guests may bring a bag lunch or purchase food during the midday stop. Gratuities for guides are appreciated but not included.
