The Firehole River valley is ground zero for geysers, and this three hour tour dives straight into the steamy heart of it all. Traveling in a classic Historic Yellow Bus, you will explore one or two of the geothermal basins that line the valley floor, home to some of the most active and colorful thermal features on the planet. Each trip is a little different. If there are specific geyser basins you are hoping to visit, let your driver guide know and they will do their best to tailor the route. Wildlife sightings along the way are always a welcome bonus, and stops may be made if animals are active nearby. It is an easygoing half day focused on bubbling pools, erupting geysers, and the remarkable geology that defines Yellowstone. Tours depart from Old Faithful Inn and operate from May 9 through October 18, 2026. From May 9 to June 10 and from September 4 to October 18, tours run daily. From June 12 to September 2, tours operate Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Check in is at 12:45 pm with return around 4:00 pm. Adult rate is 84.47 dollars and child rate for ages 3 to 11 is 42.23 dollars, with children under 3 free. Taxes and fees are included. Departure location: Old Faithful Inn
