Hiking Details
Grand Teton has 200 miles of trails emanating from nine main trailheads, offering various levels of difficulty. Visitors will find trails that offer scenic explorations of the valley and, as well as challenging climbs that offer beautiful vistas across the entire Teton range. Trails skirting the park's lakes (including Phelps, Jenny, Leigh and Taggart lakes) are among the easiest, while steep paths to the top of high-altitude peaks will challenge any hiker. Backcountry hiking is available for experienced and well-prepared wilderness explorers.
