Flagg Canyon Details
This trail runs north along the Snake River and offers spectacular views of the river and Flagg Canyon, which was carved by water out of volcanic rhyolite. You'll be walking though lodgepole pine forest, with ample opportunities to detour to the canyon edge before crossing a bridge over the river. The Flagg Canyon Trail can be accessed via the South Gate Boat Launch and Picnic Area access road (1.6 miles north of the turn-off for Flagg Ranch); a connector trail from the Polecat Creek Loop; across the roadway from the parking and picnic area next to the Snake River Bridge.
