Also known as the Moose Visitor Center, the Craig Thomas Discovery & Visitor Center welcomes visitors to Grand Teton National Park from March-November. The center is open at least 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with added hours in the busy summer season and fall. Ranger-led programs are held throughout the day here, and visitors can view a collection of Native American artifacts, a raised relief map, and a 24-minute, high-definition movie about Grand Teton National Park. You can also get maps, activity guides, schedules, and backcountry camping and boating permits here. The Center has a bookstore, restrooms, and phones, and a post office and hiking trails are nearby. The Craig Thomas Discovery & Visitor Center in located in Moose, Wyo., 12 miles north of Jackson.
