West Lake Mills Trail Details
This popular, well-maintained trail begins at the site of a former boat launch on the northern shores of the now-drained Lake Mills, and travels to two easily accessible, open viewpoints through picturesque groves of bigleaf maple, alder, and madrona. Following an old roadbed from the trailhead, the trail gently gains elevation, ascending slowing as it crosses Stubey Creek and reaches the first of the outlooks. From here there are good views across the valley. Continuing to slowly ascend, the trail climbs to its terminus where Boulder Creek drains into the valley.
