Also known as the Anderson Pass Trail, this branch of the Dosewallips River Trail features an extraordinary number of river crossings as it travels from Dose Forks to Anderson Pass. Traversing forests of Douglas fir, rhododendron, salal, and bunchberry, the trail ascends over the steep-sided sandstone canyon that marks the convergence of the West and North Forks. The West Fork is marked by its clarity, while the North Fork is known for its milky appearance resulting from runoff from Eel Glacier. The trail steepens as it climbs up to the Pass, occasionally leveling out in wildflower-filled meadows, and terminates at an alpine pool surrounded by the summits of Mount Constance and Warrior Peak.
