Little River Trail Details
This stream-side trail offers unique scenery and 10 easy river crossings as it leads from the lowlands of Hurricane Ridge to its terminus at the junction of a wide meadow and Hurricane Hill Lookout Trail. Traveling through old forests of firs, cedars, and hemlock, the trail follows the South Branch Little River as it winds through Wildcat Mountain and Mount Angeles, passing the huge basalt rocks known as the Gnome Rocks, and providing the roaring sound of the turbulent river. This trail, though seldom used, is well maintained, and contains only a few steep sections as it ascends Hurricane Ridge.
