Elwha River Trail Details
One of the longer, although not particularly strenuous trails in Olympic National Park, this multi-day hike travels from Whiskey Bend through the Elwha River valley until it reaches the head of the valley at a high divide between it and the Quinault River Basin. The trail itself contains few strenuous sections, but does experiences some deep river fording, many blow-downs and other trail obstacles, and some long switchbacks as it ascends from the riverbanks. Due to its length, it is a popular backpacking trail, and includes a number of wonderful trailside campsites
