East Fork Quinault River Trail Details
This well-maintained trail follows the East Fork of the Quinault from Graves Creek to the Enchanted Valley Ranger Station through a verdant, lush, old growth rainforest. The first half of the trail is a smooth, easy grade, but it begins to dissipate shortly after that. While this long trail itself is quite spectacular, the real highlight comes at its terminus, in the aptly named Enchanted Valley. Draped with mosses, vine maple, and wildflowers, the wide valley is home to a number of popular campsites and a historic "haunted" chalet, as well as kingfishers, bears, and huge herds of elk.
