Glacier Public Service Center Details
The Glacier Public Service Center is found along the Mt. Baker Highway near Glacier, Wash. Built in 1938, the center is a cherished example of Cascadian architecture, and has been added to the federal register of historic places. This center is run by the U.S. Forest Service. There is free information available, and other publications available for purchase. The center, which opens in early winter to issue backcountry permits, is closed from March to May and from October to January.
