Fishing Details
Recreational fishing is one of the most popular activities in North Cascades National Park, and there are a number of freshwater angling opportunities in the area's many lakes and rivers. Ross, Gorge, and Diablo Lakes, and the Skagit River, are among the most popular fishing destinations, and you can fish for native rainbow trout, multiple species of salmon, steelhead, freshwater trout, and char. Lake Chelan also offers freshwater cod and kokanee, a species of landlocked salmon. All anglers will need to obtain a Washington State fishing license, which can be purchased [online](https://fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov) or from authorized sellers in Marblemount and Rockport. Please familiarize yourself with state and federal regulations, including area closures, catch and size limits, and fishing seasons.
