Silver Forest Trail Details

This 2-mile hike provides as much education as beauty: Hike through a stand of dead trees that have turned silvery-white after being bleached by the weather, and learn how flash fires create these ghostly forests. Find the trailhead on the southern end of the Sunrise parking lot and head south for .5 miles until you reach the silver forest. Continue another half mile until the trail ends on the Yakima Park ridge, and then retrace your steps.
