Chinook Pass Details

The 5,432-foot-high Chinook Pass is located on State Route 410 in between the towns of Enumclaw and Naches, and provides access to the east entrance of Mount Rainier National Park. This road has been designated the Chinook Scenic Byway by the U.S. government. The pass typically closes in November due to avalanche danger, and reopens again in May.
