Overall Run Falls Details
The Overall Run Falls hike starts at the Overall Run Trailhead at mile 21.1 on Skyline Drive. From the trailhead, follow the Traces Trail to the yellow-blazed Mathews Arm Trail. Take the Mathews Arm Trail and bear right, following this trail until you intersect the Tuscarora-Overall Run Trail. Take a left at the intersection and hike to the viewpoint. Along the way, you will pass a smaller cascade before reaching the rocky viewing point for Shenandoah's tallest waterfall, 93-foot Overall Run Falls. Retrace your steps to return to your starting point (5.1 miles round-trip). This hike is best done during the spring or fall or after a heavy rain as the falls can dry out in the summer. You may decide to connect with other trails in the area to do a loop hike rather than an out-and-back.
